The Raytown Police Department offers great pay and benefits, as well as supplying all of your police required equipment (including weapons). We also provide excellent training that will prepare you to perform as a professional police officer for the City of Raytown.
The base salary for a Missouri POST Class A police officer is $25.90/hr which includes nine paid holidays and three personal days. For experienced officers, lateral pay is considered. The base salary for a Non-POST police officer applicants is 10% lower than Class A officers while attending the academy. POST certified officers earn an $8000 hiring incentive while non-POST applicants earn a $3000 hiring incentive.
Non-POST police officer applicants that are hired will attend police academy for their training. We pay all Academy fees, and will provide full employment between the date you are hired and the Academy start date. Upon completion of the Academy, you will continue your training at the Raytown Police Department, where you will complete a 14-week field training program with a Field Training Officer (FTO).

You must be at least 21 years of age to take the POST Police Officer exam and have a high school diploma or GED.
